Talking about living life

Thats where Mark ended up today after paddling i don’t know how many miles. This is day two for his return (day three? not sure) after the Christmas/Holidays break. If you are curious to watch his GPS feed, its here.

Envious, I am,,, Not horribly so, I know there is a ton of effort involved and lot of planning: this isn’t something you just toss off and do,,,

And the gear,,, He brought a lot of gear with him when he started this, with the big exception being the kayak. He purchased that from somewhere near his launch site.

and he has had to replace gear already. Not cheap stuff either. A Kokotat Drysuit, His sprayskirt. Dunno if he had to replace his tent or not, but I do know he broke part of it, and it was a high dollar trekking tent.

But the man is getting to experiance life in ways that most people in this world can only imagine, and many of whom couldn’t imagine trying. And he is meeting people of all stripes and levels of society.

We are all so different, yet so very much the same, and that is what I picked up from his videos to date. I look forward to seeing this weeks Vlog post. Here is the most recent one: a synopsis of the first half.

————————————————————–

on the home front, full work day today, and I probably should have stayed home. Felt great this morning, and now I am right back to feeling oogie and dogged out. Still hacking up crud, but the raspy feeling in my bronchi is gone; seems like its mostly drainage going on, which has been par for the course this winter so far But this time ‘feels’ like a bug induced issue, not allergy. (gross observation: the crud tastes different when you cough it up,,,)

its what we call winter huh? still a couple more months and then it starts the upward sweep to spring/summer (which is usually one and the same herebouts)

time to rest up,,, talk atcha’ll tomorrow.
