alright y’all, you can relax

Dio is NOT slipping back into liberal land,,,,

Yah, I know the last of that last post was quite liberal in thought, but I came from a liberal background before I woke up,, Some of it’s gonna carry forward, and no not all of it is bad, just mostly misguided.

anywhoos,  Yah, I do think the mind of humans are beautiful,,,  at least the ones that get used well.   The ones that focus on power and control like xenon lasers,,, The self serving control freaks,   well, not so much,,,   nor do I think those that happily choose ignorance when capable of better are any better,

but the human spirit,,,  yah,  we got this.

My wonderment of people is how varied we are as individuals, yet there can be a collective conscious as well.   You sometimes see spontaneous ideas crop up around the world with no interaction between the ‘founder’ and yet the concepts are so nearly identical, you would think they came from the same person.

Oh, we have problems, we are BROKEN no less, but the problems we have aren’t insurmountable.

except we keep getting these cretins with xenon laser like focus that only want CONTROL over EVERYTHING,,,,  sigh

you would think with a supposed nearly eight billion people on this planet, we could find some credible leaders to get us out of the ruts we so seem to love.   Instead we keep getting the charismatic narcissistic shit stains,,,,

or worse, some dementia ridden puppet as a front for some group that (smartly and with reason) hides behind curtains,,,

Don’t get me wrong, I am a grumpy ol man: I bitch about how dumb people are all the time. I even do it here so I know, if I am spouting liberal minded sprew, you will all be on my case like a bad rash, or a pit bull on a porterhouse steak.       But I do think that the human race is a pinnacle,,,  I don’t think we are on the cusp of endangerment from anything but ourselves, despite the quote of Elon Musk saying “I just hope the computers are nice to us”,,,

Technology may kill us off, but I don’t think it will be soon.  I don’t think we are going to design our successors either.   We are way too fallible and paranoid for that.   I personally feel that if we were to start suspecting that some supercomputer AI system were thinking we ‘are the problem’, we would wipe that thing off the face of the planet with undue prejudice.

I also think that we need the mess that is coming at us like a train in a tunnel.   The emotional mess people are in,,,  we need knocked down a bit so hope can be a little closer to reachable.  I know that my best work is done when things are at the lowest they can get at that time.   When I am flat broke is when I get the most creative on ‘how do I,,,?’

And I despise the word “Can’t”.  that word is defeat as soon as spoken.   You may see me talking to someone and suddenly stop, cringe, and backpeddle.   Thats because I just said the dirtiest four letter word in my vocabulary, “can’t”.    If you just use words like “How can I,,, ‘or ‘What would suffice in this instance,,’,,,,    Essentially, preface your words with the WHEN, HOW, WHAT, WHO, and WHY(not),,,and your subconscious starts working on the solution in the background and in short order, people think you are a damned miracle worker.    Obviously there are things that we are not physically capable of without tools or other things, like picking up a car and tossing it on a heap or something like that.  But, if you start the dialogue in your head with ‘How can I pick up this car and toss it on that heap?’ usually followed with ‘Where can I find a crane with an electromagnet on its hook?”, “Who do I know with a Heavycrane I can borrow?” or “what do I need to build that Trebuchet?”   and the last W question ‘Why(not)’   why would you want to toss a car onto a heap?   Why Not,,,   Cuz I can,,,  LOL.   You see where this sort of thinking gets you?  ROFL,,,,

Alright, so that analogy is a little off, but its not so far off as to be wrong.   Think of it another way.   I wanted to race kayaks after the shellacing I took in 2018.  BUT, racing kayaks are EXPENSIVE!!!!,,, and I am welder in a crappy section of the world that never grew out of the Great Depression circular thinking pattern.  (IE, Just Over Broke,,,,   (and now y’all know what that acronym stands for when I write it)). First question “How can I get into a Fast seakayak and not break the bank?”  and that sent me onto the nets to find options, and serendipity lead me to Skin on Frame building, and further research showed me a video of Brian Schultz pushing his flagship model fast and hard,

and I was sold.   From that point forward,,,,   if you’ve been here awhile, you know the trail of KRAZY that has followed, and it all started with “HOW CAN I?” (and an ass-whoopin’ but we won’t go there,,,,)

We are NOT logical creatures.   We are emotionally driven ones, and the LOGIC is barely enough to keep us this side of the animal/jungle rules,,,,

and yet, we have built monuments that last millennia, have conquered almost all of the landmasses above sea-level, and even operate below that level,

and we have even left the bounds of this earth and its orbit around the sun, sent ‘envoys’ past the boundary of our entire solar system

HOW, can that NOT be beautiful?

oh, I know, there is that ugly side too,,,,

and that always gets focused on, cuz we are really not sane creatures, are we?  its that whole emotionally driven thing,,,

but y’all can relax, I haven’t lost me marbles and went back to liberalLAla-lands,,,,    Still a grumpy ol curmudgeon that gripes about literally everything, myself included,   but most especially STOOPID,,, and there is plenty to go around of that,,,

I just wanted to post up that there are flowers to smell out there that do somewhat cover the stench of the bad,,,
