Recently returned from the quick to town I had to do,,, DedKow for mamakat/Grumpykat or I wouldn’t get ANY rest,,, A quicky meal for me since I am commencing to violate all physiological code and pollute my system with a known poison,,, Don’t wanna do that on an empty gullet.

Yeah, I decided to forgo the Red Crayola and Knob Creek route and took the suggestion of BCE. Prolly not the best time to try a new bourbon, but what the hell, Knob is just as pricey but I have been hearing good things about this’un, not just from BCE,,,

Apparently, I am already off kilter,,, Just realized that the above image was THE BACK of the bottle,,, LOL.

To savor the above bottle, I chose to have my meal with the remaining Beam I had on hand. No need to dilute ‘the good stuff’ while eating,,

  1. Those folks do good. I have no issue with their rye, save perhaps price – but that’s more because I’m cheap (not easy, just cheap… or is it the other way ’round? It was one of those days all night – again) than figuring them truly overpriced.

    My bourbon-preferring $HOUSEMATE prefers a different brand, but should any one hand him this or something made with such, there’d be no objection.

    1. More a Rye man meself, but haven’t the resoursces to delve into expedition of ‘good’ IE, my liver wouldn’t take that trek too well
      I go off suggestions such as BCE, yourself (note liquor store did not have a rye by this maker) others.

  2. FNG here. Came here due to a reference I saw from BCE. I’m also a Flor-i-didian. Been following BCE for some time. Dam, I hate to see him and his family going through this shit!!
    Couldn’t help seeing this here poast in regard to Bulleit Bourbon. Being a Bourbon man my own dam self, I just hadda chime in. I’ll throw in with BCE – Bulleit is some good stuff!
    Also wanna let ya know – I’ve read a couple pages of yer previous poasting, and although I’m not into kayaks (no can do, 2 dam many injuries), I still think they’re cool.
    That said, I’m a thinkin I might wanna keep hangin’ out here if’n you’ll have me. Looks like my kinda joint!

  3. Hahaha. I had to giggle when I saw the knob creek bottle. I have one in my whiskey pantry. It’s a special occasion bottle due to the price. It’s not one to set out for just any company. It will knock that snot out of the nasal cavities for sure.
    I’m hoping you feel better soon. The SO has been fighting what you are describing and we have soy and cotton harvesting going on in the low country right now . Not helping (most likely the main source) to head and chest colds around here. Weather change is part to blame.
    Just burned the big brush pile in the back yard which is on day 3 now with smoldering smoke to add to the head issues but it had to go. Eye sore to me for some time now. Lol.
    Get better bro. Hoping to see you sometime soon.
