A little send out here to assist in good deeds. Big Country is going through living hell right now with adoption/custody/whatnot , in regards to his granbehbie. If’n ya haven’t been following along over the last couple months, ya may want to dig back in his archives and catch up.
BUT, he needs financial help since Shysters Lawyers ain’t cheap,,,,
To cover something he brings up, I have a similar situation, but from the opposite end. He talks about his Ex filing a quit-claim Deed and how its ‘fucking him getting at the Equity of his house’. Yauppers, I know the feelz. I filed a quit-claim deed on our house within months of our split (Self and Amy, I know the wording could be misconstrued) BUT, 15 years later, that loan still shows as on obligation of mine. Its a double edged sword as I found out early in ‘twenty-twenty won’. The good side is it shows on my credit record and with 20 years of no late payments,,,,
The bad side is it shows as I am fully responsible for making the mortgage and hinders any future applications as “exceeding my income”.
Fact is, neither of us has lived in that house since 2009 and she rents it out to some Meh-he-kan family. The rent pays the mortgage and drops a couple franklins in a side account for ‘just in case’ events. Amy gets the advantage of the tax-write offs, and has no other obligations other than being ‘the landlord’. Thats easy-peasy since the family she rents to, take extra care of the property and it looks better now than it did when we lived in it. (I think she has made it a ‘rent to own’/land lease option for them, not sure, don’t care.)
But it effects both of us despite the quit-claim deed. Bankers will get their monies, no doubt, and that means, DESPITE the legal wrangling, there is weight to carry on all ends of that deal, no matter what the paperwork says. I don’t worry about it too much since it is ‘covered’ with being rented out, and Amy is one that is ‘tight’ when it comes to finances (she taught me a shit ton about it, though I still had much to learn,,,)(and that was a mutual exchange: I suggested the rental thing and she was astounded with how well it worked out.)
I digress. There are good people in this world. Big Country is one such, going above and beyond for a babbie or two. In this case, TWO. Gran 1 is still with them, and the battle is over Gran 2. I pray that this one doesn’t get drawn out over several years such as I see with a buddy in Knoxville (who is fighting for his two boys and that has been going on for 2 years that I know for certain.). My Kayak buddy B is another such, having adopted his boy from a genetic sponsor of ill-repute. Bubby is a blast to be around and I don’t know that anyone else could be as strong as B and his wife T going through the mess that was at the beginning. I tell B that his late dad is a very BRIGHT star in the night sky, because he is shining with pride that his Son has done so much good for others. BCE is going to have some bright stars up there too.
I wish you luck and good travels, Big Country, I will nail something to the fund shortly as I can, but till then, I will try to spread the word.

Brother, the spreading of the word is fine, keep yer shekels for really-reelz.. (get a box of crayola, on me instead… red ones I think are your fave amiright?)
Seriously… I can’t thank you enough man… Wifey saw what was raised in 24 hours and broke down… no gar-ron-tees but still, moar $$$ usually means a better mouthpiece. (leastways I hope)…
Much love to you the Kittahz and yer pops. DM where you are as we’ll be local in that AO (anything within a few hunnerd miles is local) and we’ll go from there…
