DGAF re-hash

Seriously, its not that I ‘don’givafuk’, I do care about the state of the world, and how things are turning, what gets me going is when others seemingly throw in the towel, cry ‘uncle’, or whatever ya wanna call it.   I’ve stated it many a time, that there are two types of americans; AmeriCANS and AmeriCAN’TS.   And that point always seems to be ignored by most, until they display WHICH side they align with.

Its really simple: You start saying to yourself “I can’t,,” and you’ve already lost the battle.  I find myself saying it often enough some days, and catch myself doing so and that part of me that gets caught, gets a bitch slap and dressed down by the CAN side,,,    Yeah, shit sucks, things are getting a little pinched with fuel and food going through the roof, but thats no reason to roll over and show your belly to the beast

WE ARE AMERICANS. The most obstinate, bullheaded, in your face, deal with it types on the face of the earth, and for 200+ years made a name for being so.  Its only over the last 20 that I have really seen that ‘show your belly’ attitude and know it comes from the brainwashing we were all subjected to in school.

Those things need to be in your daily routine, and if they aren’t already, GET THEM THERE.

One of the big things I push with the guys I work with is “What box, I’ve never seen this box I keep hearing about”. Don’t just see the ‘problems’ that have been created to beat down the AmeriCAN people, look for solutions instead.  Trust me, they are out here, and more so than you have been lead to believe.   

Like this 15% ethanol thingy.   Wanna know how to beat it so that you aren’t killing your car?   Buy your fuel by using a 30gallon drum instead of pumping it straight into your tank.  Put about 25 gallons in the barrel.  When you get home, pour 2 gallons of water in the barrel and agitate the hell out of it*.   You’ll see that line where the water should be, will ‘magically’ grow from 2 gallons to about 2 1/2, possibly 3: you’ll also notice that the fuel quantity will shrink the same amount.  Alcohol and water LIKE each other better than alcohol and octanes do, and we know water and ‘gas’ don’t mix well.  You can siphon off the ‘cleaned’ fuel or if you plan ahead, you can drain off the water from the bottom. Just be careful how you dispose of that contaminated water, and NO, you do not want to try and distill the ethanol out; it will pick up poisons from the fuel.  It may not be 100% cleaned out, but its gonna be a whole lot better for your equipment than the craptastic cornfuel they want to stick us with.    And look around, there are places that still sell 100%, and you will pay a premium for it, but you will notice an improvement on your performance quite quickly.    I ran two tanks of 100% last week and saw my MPG go from 16-17mpg to 19-22.   After my fill ups, I add the info into the GPS in my Car Radio and the cost per mile was actually a cent or two CHEAPER, than the crap 10%ethanol.   And Buffalo ran like a scalded dog up Jellico mountain where I usually have to downshift at least once.   

Does it take more effort?   You know it does, but you won’t have the issues of your fuel lines in a modern car eating themselves from the inside out, or any number of other issues that arise from burning alcohol in an engine not really designed for it.   And you WILL be sticking your thumb in the eye of the Loopy-Loos that think they ‘know better” what AmeriCANS should do.    

Another point that sticks in my craw is the whole gun-grabbing thing they keep toeing.   I know where I stand on it: that I WILL NEVER surrender my guns.  Definitely a “Cold Dead Hands” type here.   But I see so many wringing their hands over the mess, and what I see are P#$$ies ready to “turn ’em in” hoping to be the last on the box car to the Gulag.   Like Arthur Sido says in his tag line, “A Strategy To Be On The Last Train To The Gulag Still Ends Up At The Gulag”.   Those are the types that give my “Give a damn” a serious workout.   I wanna grab them up and get in their faces screaming “GROW A PAIR YOU  SHIT-STAIN!!!!”,,,,  But I hold myself back.    Why?   Because those are the types that feed the Loopy-Loos in the District of Criminals and as long as the Loopy-Loos THINK we are all like that, they will continue to keep the masks off and show themselves and their true colors.   Sarah does a hella break-down on why the Loopy-Loos CAN’T win, Here. She also does a hella job smacking around those that need to understand AMERICAN THINKING is not limited to where you were born, and MANY of those born here are far from that thinking,,,   Most of those I have met in my past that are so strongly against where this country is headed were not born in the US, but escaped the shit we are experiencing now.  Or they were military and know first hand what happens when you let GOVERNMENT make all your decisions for you,,,,

Guess my threat of Fiction fizzled huh?   Yeah, I am going through some shifting around right now.  The J.O.B. thing,,,   Bossman and Son made some calculations and decided to put us on a 4-10 hour day work week, to try and cut down on fuel costs.   7-5 M-Th.   Earlier rise, later to home and this 54YO feels the change a little more than I used to.   Its had some effects on my reading, and my writing.    But it is working, and I get paid one day earlier so my checks clear sooner and I can handle my finances with a little more flexibility.   Don’t even want to explain all that here, but it does make things easier.

* the more you can agitate the mix, the better the water can pull the alcohol out of the fuel.  Get creative, but be careful; sparks and other things are still just as dangerous (use a brushless motor power drill or something,). The explanation of why this works is highly simplified, it has much more to do with the chemistry and how the molecules respond to other molecules.   If you don’t believe this will work, get an empty milk jug, one that is almost clear, pour a quart of water in, and using a Sharpie, mark the water line.  Then fill the remainder with gasohol, cap it, and shake the holy hell out of it.  Let it sit over night.  Compare the water line with your mark.
