Uber rude ol’dude

I’m the qualifier for that title this week. Been bossin’ crews, and most are less than quarter century years old, and it shows in some of more than others.

Some fun examples.,,,

“So whats her name?” Me to target since he’s been dropping the ball repeatedly the last half hour.

Stumbles a second but responds “Amanda”

Me: “Well thats a sweet name but Amanda ain’t here right now. This is Piney,” pointing to a 2×4 stud,”and she would really like your attentions today.”

Another,,,

Me: “I gotta ask ya ****, and its kinda personal and ya may take offense.’

****: “go ahead,,,” with a little intimidation in his voice.

Me: “Do you choke your GF while you’re @#^!ing her?”

****: a very shocked “NO!!!”

Me: “Then why in the hell are you choking that damned Mattock???”

The boys are all getting used to my rough n tumble teaching methods and disciplinary ways, but they are all, ALL, turning into top notch workers that will think outside of the box. Gonna be a shame to lose them as they realize their potentials and seek higher wages. And they will; its a given when you teach someone that confidence is acquired with competence, not bestowed by sweet sounding words.

But yah, thats what my last week has looked like, and a couple thousand miles of highway time to and from jobsites. No time for piddiddled net surfing,,,

And from all I have seen since last night, so what,,, the world just keeps getting a little more screwed up, and it shows that TPTWB are the incompetents we know them to be.

Keep the chin up, its gonna be rough, but WE WILL WIN. We have the competence, we just need to take back the reins.
