Silly question

And possibly a PSA,,

I know I have read that DDG (dukdukgo) has been compromised and no longer is the reliable untraced search engine (which was just a matter of time when the competition is giggles)

But its still the dedicated search engine in my phone (for the next few minutes as I figure out how to make a change there) and lately, it seems my searches have been much less productive and a whole shit ton more commercially driven. A DIY ‘whatever’ search turns up alternative purchase places, and ZERO how-to’s.

Next is Startpage, I guess, unless someone knows of better. And I guess thats the REAL query in this post. What search engines are not so comprimised by lefty algorithms and commercially driven?

    The Brave browser and search engine is about the only one left that isn’t censored.

      I use Brave and its default search engine is DDG. It has SP and a couple of others and I already .ade the switch

    Yandex is the only sizeable search engine that’s not using Google or Bing for it’s back-end.

    Search results on Yandex, particularly those that are related to American politics, tend to be much different from the results you get from Google or Bing.
