Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Yeah, I know that feelin’

This side of the keyboard? It’s pretty lonely. I often wonder if I’m flinging out things no one cares about/reads. Like shouting into the dark, and not being sure there’s anyone there. Sometimes there’s glimmers of eyes.

That feeling, writing your words, pouring your soul onto a canvas for others to see, and then,,,

SILENCE.

At least Sarah has the commentors galore to give her some insight as to what is working and what isn’t.  I don’t think she is aware of the Boon she has in her ‘peanut gallery’,   I have seen her post in the AM, and by the time I am getting off work, the comments are counted in several hundred and it takes HOURS to get through them.   That level of return in investment makes me a little envious and makes me strive harder to produce something that will ‘get the bites’.   Looking at the stats page, my comments list lower than my posts: I would imagine that at Sarahs site, the comments (lifetime levels) outstrip her posts by several magnitudes.

Oh, to be able to post this,,,,

The lights in the great dark theater have come on. And the darkness I’ve been flinging words into is full of friendly, loving faces.

It’s stunning. It’s almost unbelievable.

And yes, it is wonderful.

I have a few commenters that I communicate with outside of the comments section, but the number of comments, or should I say LACK of comments leaves me grasping for reason: Reasons to keep blogging, reasons to keep showing up everyday for the ‘beating’,,,,    Maybe it helps that a vast majority of her commenters are also WRITERS of some level or ‘nother.  I notice that Francis has a low number of commenters as well.   That makes me think that tis more that we (Francis and I) have more of a focus on politics and the FRAUD.   Sarah hits those points as well, but she doesn’t focus on them, she focuses more on US and how she feels we should be handling things, not picking apart the latest Depends Filling antic of our Emperor in Appearance: Xi-den Poopy-pants the First.

I keep saying it, I am just a little one man shop in a back-alley of the furthest reaches of the webs. ,,,

But I keep ‘flinging the words into the darkness, and occasionally see the glitter of eyes”(paraphrased).  Sarah’s recent good fortune has given me new lease on the little shop in the back alley.

Grizzy Update.   He had a stressful car-ride (His second with me) but turned into his affectionate self within minutes of arrival at the Vet.   Has an Upper respiratory infection (knew that) and they also found a sprained shoulder.  He has Antibiotics and a mild anti-inflammatory to take for a few days.   He absolutely stole the hearts of the nurses there, with his head-bumps and shoulder dives on “Dad”, plus a purr you can hear across a crowded room with computer fans blowing.  His purr is 10x the size of the cat it comes out of.

And back home, Oh-boy!!!!   Like a whole new cat,,,   That shoulder swelling going down, the antibiotics kicking in and fever broke; He was outside giving Zoomz what-for and they tore up the yard playing.   Now, its dark, the temps are dropping, his appetite is back, so he has a full belly and he is on the cat-perch nearest the stove soaking up heat and comfies.   Not too bad on costs, just under 200, I can handle that.  He does have a follow-up for his FLV booster: they didn’t want to give it to him while he was running a fever, but he did test negative for it.   So. two-weeks from now, another stressed out car ride (I think he was getting used to it by the time we made it home. Either that or he ‘smelled’ home and started looking out the windows.) another Franklin out of pocket and he should be good to go.   Gotta keep an extra eye on him since he is the runt, and it shows when he and Zoomz are side by side.  Same age, near identical in appearance,  half the size.

Least to say, I haven’t done a danged thing on the Carcass of a kayak formerly called Serena this week.   I mentioned that my brain and my surfing were causing problems IRL:  the biggest problem was my Math.  Usually I’m meticulous in making sure my math is right when making products.  This week, that went ‘swwooooooshhhh,,,” right over the riverbank and downstream.   I ended up remaking 5 sets of gates for the simple ‘oops’ of using 120 inches to determine my cuts for 12’ gates.  120 vs 144.   Big enough difference I should have spotted it on the welding table, but my mind being elsewhere,,,,    Yeah.  Son was obliging in saying, “you’re only hooman”. but I still hold myself accountable and am embarrassed by such a rookie mistake.  Fortunately, the gates are well made, and we will eventually get a call for one with a 10’ opening, but they aren’t often enough to appease my blushed face.

Ok, I have more to post, but its on another page and is gathering steam as we speak.   It’s not complete, needs links, and is all over the place (kinda like this’un) and I WILL post in on Saturday.  In the meantime, if I post, it will be a shorty, just pointing out something obvious (I’m good for obvious)  or just venting some pressures to keep from ‘xplodies!!!’  later

    • Most kittehs are assholes. Grumpykat (aka Mamakat) is the biggest 7#bitch the world has ever seen: this side of killary klinton that is. Grizzy on the other hand seems more dawgie then kitteh in his approach to life. Big fuzzy love that hasn’t met a hooman he doesn’t like.
One downside to that is now, I’m sporting a cold or something. Likely a version picked up from his always rubbing on my face and chin in enthusiastic affection.

Every blog starts as a way for the author to vent; some are content to continue like that (e.g. Aesop), some do a Kim du Toit, and then there’s Sarah.

I enjoy your somewhat random approach to blogging (ISTM that your mind works similarly to mine) but it doesn’t lend itself to comments.

Sarah writes a mini essay each day on a particular subject – of course she’s going to get heaps of comments!

If you want more comments you need to decide what direction you’re going to take your blog and do it.

Whatever you decide, don’t blog to get comments – one look at the MSM shows you how that works out.

Sometimes we read and there is a completeness of what is written. It doesn’t demand we comment back, it leaves us thoughtful or ruminating. Sometimes no comment is necessary because we don’t have something of value to add to or elevate what we read. Of course, sometimes some of us are just lazy asses that take the effort, digest it and move on. Hope you have plans to continue in own way and style.
