This shit right here is part of the problem. People not understanding FREEDOM at its core state. And I lay this completely in the laps of the Edu-mah-kation Ministries because people aren’t TAUGHT these things any longer.

First off, the commenter glenn, apparently has zero clue what Fascism or Authoritarianism is since we are VERY MUCH IN BOTH IRL. Second, the respondent stating “Freedom of Speech is not absolute” is so fucked in her mindset that she wouldn’t know how to handle TRUE FREEDOM. Freedom of speech MUST be absolute or there is no such thing as freedom of speech. THE ABUSERS OF SUCH that are inciting violence or panics or riots MUST be held accountable AFTER THE FACT, but there should be zero restrictions on the speech itself. IF you go around yelling FIRE in a theater, just as an example, you are inciting panic, NOT PRACTICING FREE SPEECH, and should be held accountable. BUT to say that no one should yell FIRE!!!! in a theater is creating a safety hazard and IS a restriction on free speech and negates the whole point of the First Amendment.

THIS is why we can’t have nice things in this country. People don’t KNOW HOW. They spout the garbage they have been indoctrinated with and have zero clue how to operate outside of the box they have been programmed for. I firmly believe that when, not IF, the shooting begins, the die off of the clueless will far outstrip the combat casualties. Between failed infrastructure ( a combat zone regularity) and not knowing how to FIND FOOD, SHELTER, WATER, or any of the other VERY BASIC NECESSITIES,,, Heck, most people I knew back in my Cinci days, wouldn’t have more than some snacks located at home, let alone a week or more of groceries. NONE of them would have any ‘preps’ and most would ask ‘why are you scared?’ if they found out you DID have preps. Selco and Ferfal both offer great information about what we can expect, and if you haven’t been reading thier stuff the last couple of years (likely dropped off as the Trump years led a lot of people to become complacent.) you are ignoring a serious learning tool. For the uninitiated, Ferfal survived the economic collapse of Agentina. Selco survived the the balkaninzation of Bosnia. Different SHTF situations but there are parallels of what to expect.

There was a time in our country where CIVICS was a mandatory course for graduation of High School. It was at the school I attended and if you didn’t make a passing grade of C or better, You were likely held back. Of course all that went the wayside when “no child left behind’ began, among other “feel-good” bullshit that has further dumbed down this country.

Update: I needed to follow that whole threadsince Glenn was being sarcastic and makes relevant and pointed remarks irther along. I did not catch his sarcasm in his tweet. I still stand on my points of free speech in regards to the respondant. She is an indoctrinated stooge.
