Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

My new normal, I guess.

Y’all followin’ along know about my sitrep current. Well, went back to the Dayjob today, short story is Son of Dad and Son business called over wknd, his Dad outta towm for a week, not quite begging me to come back to work. Went in and talked to him, let him know “I dont NEED the Job” and he admitted that was obvious and admitted they have been purt much screwed since I left near 2 months back. I made some stipulations for my return. No field job, I work at the shop so I am close to home for Da. If I gotta drop everything to deal with Da, I drop everything and deal with Da, ZERO REPERCUSSIONS or I just don’t return.

And of course, pay closer to reality, over what they had been paying. Not as high as I could have pushed, but my stipulations being agreed to balance the equation.

And that ‘new normal’ jumped right into play already. Dad called, urination ain’ta happening, AGAIN. I called the urologist this round and we are back there getting another catheter in the dad unit.

Put in about 2 1/2hrs when the call came in, shut down the welding gas, tossed my hood in the truck and was rolling. SON came out and I yelled “got a call”, and he thumbs upped. I’ve never had an issue with Son, just the Dad, and while the Dad is out, I will likely have no issues. But he won’t be gone all that long; just this week. I guess we’ll see how much restraint the pair of us has when he returns. (And admittedly, I’m the loose cannon here.)

    You don’t need the job.

    You have the leverage.

Hopefully the son will keep dad in line.
