Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Magic pills

Thats what I feel has a large portion of whats wrong with THIS country.  I don’t recall seeing the plethora of med propraganda on the tele while overseas (its been a couple decades so things may have changed) but here, 2/3rds of the BOochit aired is ‘this pill,,,,  see your doctor’ .   Everybody wants that magic pill to fix their shit.

Personal choice, get off your ass and do something, but hey, I ain’t a Doc, right?

My dad is one that has a serious distrust of the medical fields, despises going to Docs (and why, when he asked me to take him to a doc, I knew it was serious)

And they did good!!!  Don’t get me wrong, he’s still here and home much faster than I would have expected.

But all these damned drugs, with side effects that seem worse than the problem they are “designed” to correct.  6 different drugs in a man that took OTCs with serious caution, antibiotics if needed, AND NOTHING ELSE.   Doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke,,,  His one vice is he chews on cigars, but never lights them.  That was the ‘compromise’ from chewing tobacco many many years back.

Now he’s miserable, and the side effects are more immediate and dramatic.  Can’t pass urine.  Bladder over full and,,,,

You get it,, think we’ve all been at a point where hydraulic pressure had become a dominating event in our immediate lives.

I’m no doc, but my immediate response is to pull him off any drug that has more than two side effects and all that have overlapping side effects. (Two have bladder and urine issues listed as possible. Think there might be a corrolary there?) But, I’m not a Doc and the man did just suffer a heartattack and had a stunt installed,,,

My personal opinion, and one that has several years of validation in reading and in a few conversations with medpros, is big pharma.

Why would you want to put your trust in an industry that makes more money treating you, and no money on curing you. And then those same companies,,, vaxxnottavaxx??? Yeah,

    Of course there is the
Do your own research approach, but I have a friend who doesn’t have a computer, and takes somewhere in the high teens to low twenties of medication. I Finally convinced him to take all of it to a pharmacy and get someone to help him sort it out. He has several doctors for his many issues. The pharmacist got him off of a few.. It’s a mess.

    • My late mother had a similar issue, and I will say the labyrinth of information and OPINIONs can confuse even avid thinkers. But the question still remains, “do you want to put your trust in someone who sees no profit margin in curing you ?’

I am a Doc. We have a sick care system, not a health care system. The well has been poisoned with big pharma and .gov bureaucratic contamination (people without the aptitude to be a physician telling physicians what to do). The system encourages rapid pass through times, a new expensive pill for every complaint, and then pills to treat the side effects. Instead of a thorough physical exam and conversation to get a detailed history, just order extremely expensive labs and imaging studies. It is now an embarrassing cesspool of inefficiency with more concern for shareholders than for patients. Question everything, do your own research, and try to find someone that listens first and foremost. If they don’t, they are not worth your time.

    • Thank you for your honesty Doc, a breath of fresh air in my current situation (my dads, but I’m vicariously involved) mind if I use your ‘sickcare system’ words later?

Don’t mind a bit sir, it is as accurate a descriptor as I can muster for this mess right now. Blessings to your father, and you also for being a good advocate for him.
