Its enough
If you use it!
Huh? Whus tha supposed ta mean, Dio?
It means, you have everything you will need in the upcoming Spring Dance. It may not seem like much, and likely isn’t, but tool MAKERS are notches above tool users in brain power. And that brain power is what you NEED
I see ‘calls to arms’ spreading around, not neccesarily to go to DC and do stoopid things, but to prepare for spicey time forthcoming. On those same sites, in comments, there is always at least one person saying “Tanks, rockets and Drones, Oh My!!!” . Those detractors are tool users, not Makers. They don’t ‘get it’, can’t get it, and will run and cower if they don’t undermine the Makers first. They failed recent history and never made it into world history. One only need look at Afganistan for examples of what a small country of goat herders did to TWO world super powers. Not just one, TWO. They are still independent and took the toys the Supers left behind for their own. This is one hokum little country with a lot of rough territory and no coastal area for international trade, yet they are still kicking ass and taking names in their desire to stay independent.
Even against all the latest and greatest tech, they held out. Granted, strict ROE did not help the US forces, but the Afghanis did not have alot of help from outside. Most of the IEDs found and destroyed before they could kill our troops, were made by using stolen or found unexploded ordinance from our supplies. They ‘made’ use of our junk, or stole it, and modified it. We’ve all seen images of a MaDuece atop a bolted or welded frame atop a Toyota Pick up. The advantage of that ‘technical ‘ is speed. It isn’t hindered by tons of armor and an overloaded hot running engine.
And it doesn’t cost a million dollars with 10 years of development that runs the project over budget and tacks on useless shit for ‘reasons ‘.
They knew how to be MAKERS, in a world that was destructive to them.
They know how to Dance.
So where did they steal this stuff from? Not the depots, for certain. Supply chains are weak links. And small kids are great observers given a little training. Kids see EVERYTHING: they have to, since they haven’t had the time to develop all the filters us adults have in place. And kids are innocent enough to be ignored in most places and times. A kid tending herd on a hill overlooking a battle field can tell where rounds went into the dirt and didn’t detonate. A kid doing some chore along side a roadway will see what vehicles come and go, count them, count heads of troops, or how many trucks had covered cargo. Direction, speed and other info is just icing for a good intel guy, and kids will see it all. What the info is used for, is irrelevant to the kid, so long as he gets a little something in return. A new toy or food for his sibs: that currency is fluid as all get out to kids.
So when I see commenters doin’ the lions tigers n bears thing, I laugh. They are already cowed and “we can’t win” is branded onto their occipital lobes. And people that have been around here awhile know me and my “NEVER SAY ‘CAN’T ” rule. I cuss and make rude noises but the dirtiest four letter word in the English language IMO is ” can’t”.
You say “I can’t,,,” and you’ve already QUIT. (Now, I may on occasion say ‘I can’t get my head around their thinking’, and I should say ‘I don’t wanna try to think like that’ so yes, I sometimes do use that dirty word, but as a colloquialism. )
And that leads me to another dance tune today.
What you have will be enough, you just have to use it.
