Looking forward

I hate to attempt planning in times like these because the ground ahead is unstable like fresh poured cement.

Making no assumptions but holding out hope that Patriotism wins through (quickly prefered but not likely) I just cannot see the “party system” as it currently stands even being permitted to exist. That people will form parties is inevitable, but allowing the spineless wimple faced Repugni-cant party and the smiling ‘stab ya in the back then slit your throat’ Demon-crap party to hold ANY power EVER again repulses the hell out of me. There are other options

There could even be a Monarchist party trying to step back in time and mentality. Hell let the Commies have one AS LONG AS they keep that moniker out front and in the open. No hiding behind fuzzy bulshit.

Load up the party system with as many as we can stuff the system with: say 535 different parties. No majority, no minority, and shit tons of infighting, hell, this country would have a hell of a good run with so few laws and regulations coming out of that cesspit that we might actually get something done for once. We all know that a two party system is an illusion of choice and thanks to Team Trump, we have seen just how it works and why we are were we are. If he did nothing else, for that I would call him the best damned president in 200 years.

The whole party system, the campaign system all needs revamped from the ground up. There should be a system, similar to NPR set aside by government for ALL prospective elected wannabes to have a say. If ya wanna run for an office, put together a 5 minute “this my idea” clip and put it up, canvas your locality for signatures and when you get so many. You are on the ballot. Keep it out of the free-market where advertising costs cut out the real leaders that have been buried under by the Uni-party. It would serve several points, but foremost would balance the coverage, and two, would make it so people could opt out instead of being forced into the mud slinging every five minutes between station spots. Or they could really dive in if they so chose.

No matter what. Things MUST change going forward. First and foremost is what Bill Whittle says in this video,,,

We had one job and we dropped the ball. We have dropped the ball for the 34 years I have been of voting age so far as I can tell. and that brings me to another change that I THINK needs done. Its not a popular idea either but I think it would make the biggest impact. Limited franchise. No more ‘democratic diversity’. We a representative REPUBLIC, not a damned democracy. Prove you have skin in the game and you are allowed a voice. Make it so that ANYONE with a certain value of property has a say. Doesn’t matter what color sex or age that person is, just if they are a property owner or not.

Or something like Heinleins Troopers idea. You serve a term of years in honorable form and become a Citizen with a voice. Or choose to not and just go along in life without the worries.

But this whole “everybody has a voice” thing is Bullshit. The guy up the road that can’t get his shit together does not have the same credibility as the woman up the other way with 2 kids and new car and a set of rental properties supplying her with a comfortable passive income.

Thats just some of the ideas that float through my head at times like this.

Something else that needs addressed is term limits. They throttled the executive branch with it after Roosevelt’s three terms, but by God there are some long in tooth useless curs in Congress. That needs to stop. Politics may be a career choice but to spend 4 decades in federal office is sure sign of stagnation and hints at corruption (I’m holding back on what I really mean there)

Congressional Salaries: stop this one size fits all thing. Stop the lifetime benefit thing. While in, ok, but once out, your back in circulation and need to deal with life like everybody else. As for the salaries. Set the representative states average salary as the cap on that representatives pay while in. You want a pay raise, make the situation in your state better so that people get paid better. In other words. DO YOUR DAMNED JOB.

Just some thoughts while I troll around for information on whats goingnon in DC. Shit aint at all looking good, but hey, we are at war again so I wasn’t expecing roses and martini’s.
