Spot on!!!
T.L. Davis hits another homer.
it is not the words on paper that give us that right. Self-determination about the condition of our lives gives us that right. What we recognize in the Constitution is that our forebears understood and recognized that someday we would have to cling to the banner for which it stands and declare ourselves free.
Emphasis mine
Locally, there is an Indian family that runs a gas station convenience store operation (fact, not trying to play on stereotypes). They are die-hard Trump supporters, and the couple of times I talked to the lady there, PISSED AS HELL at whats happening this selection cycle.
When I was a kid, I had a teacher that was an escapee from East Germany. She introduced me to thinking about WHY freedom is important, and that its NEVER given freely but must be taken and defended against those that would destroy it.
We have seen over the last year(ish) just how far down the rabbit hole this country has fallen into that cesspit of tyranny. With Governor’s acting like Mini-Mussolini’s, rioters burning and looting while acting with small unit tactics, blatant fraud and theft of the voice of the American people, direct flipping of the bird at the American people by the Judicial system not wanting to get its hands dirty doing its damned JOB!!!
And the clock to a peaceful resolution running out.
Or maybe it ran out a long time ago but we kept kicking that can down the road.
I dunno how this is all going to play out, I don’t think anyone really has a clue. I can only think its going to be FAR uglier than anything this world has ever seen. Like Matt says “Bosnia x Rwanda x 10”
And its not racial!!!! It IS ideological. Some wanna be left alone and are willing to live and let live, the other wants to be told or do the telling and you’d better do what you’re told. There is zero room for compromise there. But for the record; when the first group flips the switch to ‘when I said LEAVE ME THE F@K ALONE , I MEANT IT’, they don’t stop till the body count is staggering and all opposition is ‘ not moving, changed shape or caught fire’.
