Wknd escape.

Needed the break, and seeing how the swamp continues to f@k President Trump, all I can do is watch. And wait.

I went and checked on a new to me kayak. Had a great time swapping stories with the guy, spent about two hours bullshittin’ and about 15 minutes looking over the kayak. Dude was promoted to awesome when he insisted ‘try it b4 you buy it’ and helped me load it on the truck. Poor beastie had some oil canning under the cockpit and I told ‘A’ , even if I don’t like it and bring it back, THAT! is getting fixed immediately. Well, you can tell by my use of past tense, I fixed it. About an hours work. 3 gallons of boiling hot water to warm up the plastic and judicious use of a heat gun and other tools; all betters!!! It shows that it had canned, but the shape is back and smoother than the lumpy bumpy dimples were.

Sadly, the group I was scheduled to do a river run with on Sunday backed out. Family dropped in unexpected, but hey, its the Holidays, family takes precedent.

But, that doesnt mean I have to do without. It just means a different setting. And solo, but thats ok too so long as its nothing wild n crazy.

She may join the growing fleet, or not. Tomorrow will tell me. (But I have a feeling,,,,)
