Throws hands in air,
cussin!
Frustration.
25 sections of aluminum tubing, from 5/8″dia to 3/4″dia, some sleeved, others slip fit (or supposed to be. NOT!!!)
Been soaking some to try and loosen up the glue old lube so I can clean things up and reassemble.
Not!
Happening!
Three months! Soaking for three stinkin’ months!!! No love here; these tubes are vacuum welded together!!!
Throws hands in air,
cussing.
Tahellwidit!!
Put the damned thing back together (an all day affair I find out) and be done with it. Play with or sell it but that skin and frame are married to that shape so long as it resides with me.
What the heck ya ranting about Dio?
That curse-ed Feathercraft K1 expedition kayak.

This is it after spending all afternoon shoehorning that frame back into its skin. I used 1/2″ tubing to sleeve the areas I had cut to get the frame out, and stretching the skin enough to get those sleeves in, was, politely put; Challenging.
Like I said, the pair are now married to this shape so long as I own her. Till death do them part,,, damned silly ‘yak!!!My Fleet is now 3 longboats and one whitewater squirtboat. (And with the river being easier access, the squirt is likely going to get the most use.) Like my dad keeps saying, “you can only use one at a time!!”. Yeah,,,😏🛶
🍔🌭🍻 Here’s hoping you had a good Socialist wknd!
