What ta wear

Its a saying among skin on frame kayaks, you don’t sit in a kayak, you wear it.

Have a event coming up this weekend and I have a conundrum: what to wear.

It may be, I have one or two too many kayaks,,,

The Perception (red boat on bottom) is heavy so she’s out for this event. ‘Sides, she’s my loner ‘yak for others that want to try out the sport.

The Feathercraft is still in restore operations so she is out (that pic was taken before I took her frame apart. She is the yellow and black one.)

Serena vs Duh!kee.

Serena is my beauty queen and a rock solid yak for all kinds of water. She is the one I prefer to brag over, though both of my builds have bragging rights in themselves.

Duh!kee is my educational boat in many ways. She is the one I want to learn to roll in, mostly because she tries to kill me at least once a month. She also has scar tissue showing, both on bow and hull. You could say she’s “been around”.

Oof! I hate desicions like this. (Normally I would take both, but I will be acting in part to shuttle other kayaks to the put in and need the space on my racks)

To top off, there is an instructor available this week for a rolling class in the same area so I may force the boss to accept my taking days off for that as well.

I think I’ll be wearing a Duh!k. 😋
