2020, the year when hindsight was forgotten
Mid way through the year. And so far, its one for the record books. Which record book, you ask? Why, the Human stoopidity recordbook.
We deliberately sacked our economy over a bug that has failed to live up to the fear mongering toadies on high predictions.
We castrated our society for the same reasons (and yes, I do mean CASTRATED, because with what I am seeing, a vast majority of ‘civil society’ is running around ball-less, except for those burning looting and murderin’)
We failed to look back at how epidemics were handled SUCCESSFULLY in our past, ones with much higher death tolls and higher virulence ratios. Instead, we listened to the hubris of a ‘chosen few’ and castigated ourselves on the new religion called ‘medical science’ that is the first, but fails on the second criteria.
Then, when things weren’t following script anymore, people started questioning the things I have been questioning since day one, some poor dumbshit gets off-ed by another piece of shit that just happened to BS his way into a badge. That event during any other time frame would probably have come to nothing and POS badged dude would may have been investigated, or not, but in todays day and age with ubiquitous cell phones HD cameras built in and near instantaneous data transfer over the aetheral waves, it went viral.
And in less than 24 hours, the ‘Rona was forgotten by all but those most at risk (as it should have been from the word GO.)
That event snowballed from protests into riots, small displays of socialist rage taking over property, both public and private. And became a political virtue signalling platform for the shit-heeled communists in hiding to out themselves to the world.
Calls to defund police departments are echoing across the continent.
Wanna know what happens when you eliminate a power structure? Another one moves in that is most always worse than the one replaced. I will even cite our own country with that statement in honor of the day, Independence Day,
When the colonists rebeled, there were many reasons, but the tipping point was the Stamp Act. A Six Pence tax on various trade goods.
When was the last time you ONLY paid a 6 cent tax on anything? If you are an employee, you typically part with 30% before you EVER see a number added to your accounts. If you are self employed, that number shoots to 50+ and eligibility for certain socialist programs is cut off at the ankles.
We didn’t reflect on WHY this country came to be, we just panicked and ran for cover because “Racism” ” CORONA” and bleated like sheep “guhvment, hep us!!”
Even the rogues running roughshod around knocking down statues and monuments are failing to look back. Not one has a frickin’ clue as to the significance of what they are destroying. They even vandalized a monument honoring BLACK UNION SOLDIERS that most definitely DID fight against the notion of Slavery in our beloved country.
Oh, and now that “The RiOtS” are flagging, suddenly, the ‘Rona is back and bigger than ever! (I guess people realized that ‘murder hornets’ are your everyday sandhornet, and well caterpillers was too damned cute.
)(and the numbers aren’t even close towhat they used for fear mongering the stampede)
And the list of stoopid keeps growing!!!!
Most especially the castrated unquestioning acceptance that our Government is some benevolant caretaker with only the best of intentions for all.
And people fall for the ‘watch this hand’ tricks of a second rate magician called Federal Government every f#$kin’time!!!!!
So, while y’all shoot your bottle rockets, let the littles run amok with sparklers, burn a few dogs and patties while sloppin’ back some brews in “Honor” of words scrawled on a piece of parchment 244 years ago or so; assuming you even consider those words this day, I will be trying further to take the blinders off and see just what that ‘other hand’ is trying to frickin pull on us.
And just because I can, go kayaking!!!!
(After thought. What really blows my mind is the obvious dichotomy of thinking that one has to go through to accept ‘rule’ by government. I see contradictory statements blown out by seemingly everyone and yet they can’t seem to see it themselves,,,
