Thinking sumpin

All the talk about the ‘Rona and out breaks, which is probably happening but most definitely not at the level Fauci and crew wanted us to believe.(amazing how a no-name doctor is suddenly a household name and not because he actually cured anything or came up with a new treatment for something.)

But some of the aspects of the ‘Rona and other diseases, namely, the ability to lay dormant for periods of time, and this Saharan Dust cloud hooplabluesey crap being fed to us ,,,

What if???

What if some strange African virus was airborne delivered to the east coast of the American Continent and suddenly, without warning, entire swaths of the east coast were battling somethings as nasty as Ebola or its like?

No ‘zero patient’ available to isolate, just entire populations dropping like flies in a room filled with an aerosol agent. (Which is a fitting analogy though analogy is usually suspect.)

Not saying this is the case, but what if in the past such a scenario did happen, while coinciding with recent exploration; say the Spaniards and the Aztec. Or, same lines, a bug transferred, not against people, but against agriculture, even a pest like the ash borer beetle or a fungus spore that would wipe out a strain of maize (corn in modern parlance)

Of course, we may never know, even though it has been proven that the Spaniards only escalated the demise of the Aztec: the coffin nail so to speak. They were already on the way out the door in no small part to agricultural issues arising.

I dunno, it’s just a mental exercise program in a brain that hasn’t shut down for more than 5 minutes in 45 years. (Certainly seems like it to me, when I wake up thinking about what my subconscious is trying to tell me by the wild assed dreams it left on the desk as it went back behind the curtain.)

Unloading/loading the truck: off come the tools, on go kayaks and camping gear. With long dalylight times, I may even head out tonight and find a spot,,, Voo and Mamakat can fend for themselves after I drop double handfuls of kibble where they can find it. (And Voo could use a couple weeks on a crash diet IMO)
