A little change of pace.

GASOLINE or our beloved gasahol.

3 years. 3rd fuel pump. Doesnt matter if I used generic knock off or factory (Delphi) replacement: 8-9 months and I’m popping the tank open to replace the beast.

Usually losing use of my fuel guage precedes failure, this time it didnt, but thats beside the point.

I firmly believe its a combination of the ethanol in our gas and substandard coatings on the coils in the pump motors.

I do know that (when I can find it) 100% gasoline gives me better range (380 vs 300/tank) and a feel it in the seat increase in power. Cold starts are easier too.

But the federal government has decreed we have to use corn alcohol in our fuel to keep the farmers alive (effectively creating a captured market with specialized suppliers using GMO products that can’t produce anything else and that cattle turn their noses up at.)

But beer virus!!!! Global cooling/heating /imminent iceage horrors!!!!! The children!!!!

Yeah. The bug thats shut down our economy/JIT shipping, and my income and 2 weeks before I can have another fuel pump in hand,,,

Does anyone, ANYONE, see a common thread to the issues I have listed here?

Yeah, I’m being sarcastic. Our problem IS NOT CAPITALISM, its interference by government over-reach. Its a problem with ‘solutions’ that create problems. Unintended Consequences across the board and 99%of the people involved unaccountable for failure short of early retirement with benefits.

Sadly though, I think all of this is designed to create a bigger ‘big brother’ and further separate the haves from the have-nots.

Like someone else pointed out: 300 pages of the patriot act sitting in a drawer just waiting for the right crisis, sure looks like the 800 page CARES act fits the same description.

They just need the lever, and this virus was it. Doesnt matter jack if it was man-made or a fluke of evolution, it provided the lever they wanted.
