Keep quiet

And be thought a fool, or open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I believe the original goes all the way back to Aesop, but it was one of the firmer lessons beaten into me by my Grandma.
And now it is a pet peeve of mine when reading comments and forums. My eyes glaze over and I move on when a comment starts with: “I’m ignorant of,,,,, but in my opinion,,,”
Sorry; Ignorance gives you no room for an opinion in my world. You want an opinion, shut up and listen, learn, expand the number of functioning brain cells your grey matter has potential for. Until then STFU!
