Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Still workin’ on the Lincoln.  An hour or two a night, weather dependent. Last night I cleaned the points and started seeing spark at the plugs.  I had pulled the carb; one: because it needs torn down and cleaned and two: to get at the screws holding the ignition system together.  Very tight quarters there, rather reminiscent of Fiat engine bays.  Anyway, no carb in line but what the hell; a quick squirt of starting fluid up the intake, hand on start button and,,,

Wahooo!  (Man is she LOUD!) Now its get the fuel system in order and a good battery (been running off jumpers to my truck, until I was certain I could invest the notes.)and then I’ll see what if any output she has.
Now that I know the suck squish bang blow things are GTG, I’m willing to make monetary investments as needed.  This company has, apparently, anything I might need short of a full rewinding.  And looking inside, that might be needed,

In another three generations or so.😁
Those windings are ginormous and shellaced heavily. (Shellac, enamel,  something.  Dunno, but its tough and thick as elephant hide) .
They even have a replacement electronic ignition system thats a ‘drop in’ for the magneto system, and about the same cost as an OEM replacement. How cool is that?!?!  I can tell, just from a couple of days research, that these beasts have serious followers.  I’ve never used one, but from reading some forums, nearly everyone says the performance is kickin’ and far different(read as better) than capacitor/coil based units.   I’ll be finding out soon if all goes well and the monsoons back off.  I have some 1/2″ plate I can goof off with to get a feel for the gal.

And a small admission; yes, I fully intend on using this welder to increase income to some extent.  Anything else would be foolish.  And I’ve already been offered some side work by a local to repair some farm equipment: I kinda have (more) incentive to get her running now
