Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Hey Spud, this might tickle a bit.

Pulled the plugs to put penetrating oil in the jugs, did so, then thought,  “see if you can turn it now, while the plugs are out. “
Eureka!!!
Turns by hand!  I put the plugs back in.
Pulled the truck up and some jumper cables; crank crank crank.
So, it turns over, the starting circuit is solid, the oil idiot light works (surprised me!) But not certain about spark yet.  Just when Myself and Unka J where going to check, the skies opened up again and ran us back in.  (If it ain’t monsoon season here, its striving for a close finish.)
No rush n no worries, I have plenty of time for this.
Oh yeah, gonna have to pull the carb and clean it and possibly definitely fix the choke mechanism.  The choke cable is frozen and the choke lever on the carb, isn’t on the carb,  isn’t in the trailer, and is likely deep sixed somewhere in time.  Again no worries, I has TOOLS!!! And ain’t afraid to use ’em!  LOL
With secondary monsoon season in full swing, any kayaking I do, right now, will likely be due to “the only way to get out” expediency thingy. And if so, it won’t be in the Duh!k; she and I just aren’t familiar enough for strange waters just yet.   River was rising as I drove home this evening and they are calling for several inches more over the next 96 hours.  As saturated as the ground already is, it just heads straight downhill to whatever cavity it can fill, and all of those cavities are full now.

Just so glad I live up on the hill and not down in the holler🙄.

    • I’m scouring the nets right now for more info. Found reprint of owners manual at Lincoln, have found 5 or 6 places for the odd parts that are “notorious ” for fails, and gaggles of “fans” of this beast. Its a 1976 SA-200 if you are curious.

Yeah, I’m feeling a touch tickled right now. It ain’t runnin’ yet, but it’s future seems much brighter.
