Ol man winter
It finally arrived, in force. Rain and snow, most everyday. Water flowing in the creeks is 35°f and lake temps are nearing 40°f. Too cold for my blood. Have some gear now to make cold water more of an option, but not for that cold.
Well, I knew my timing finishing the yak was gonna suck, and I’m proven right. Still, it looks like this winter is a mild one compared to some we have had here; maybe it wont last long. At least I got in a maiden voyage or two, and proved concept.
So, its back to work to make the notes that make getting along in this world a little less icky. Pick up some more gear along the way, and not just for water fun, add to the triple-B’s, and keep an eye of the skyline. Further training will commence as soon as possible, and in the meantime, just keep muscles flexible. If I don’t do stretches everyday, I get so danged stiff, I can’t move. (Never thought I would get this far as a kid, and never ever thought I would be doing yoga: wtf happened? Oh yeah, time. Pernicious witch that she is. LOL)
Other than a local weather report, not much to say. Keep on keeping on, y’all.
